Biography: Scott Bennett represents individuals and corporations in criminal prosecutions, government investigations, and administrative proceedings.  He has experience in matters ranging from white-collar criminal prosecutions to death penalty cases.  He also represents clients in commercial disputes.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Bennett was an associate in the criminal defense and tort groups of Lewis and Roca LLP.  In that role, Mr. Bennett worked on government and internal investigations, defended clients facing criminal charges, and worked on federal death penalty cases.  He also defended corporations against claims of insurance bad faith, products liability, wrongful death, and other personal injuries.

During law school, Mr. Bennett served as executive articles editor of the California Criminal Law Review, and represented a death row inmate in his appeal to the California Supreme Court in connection with the Boalt Hall Death Penalty Clinic.  Upon graduation, he was elected to membership in the Order of the Coif, which is reserved for the top 10% of each law school class.  Mr. Bennett then clerked for Judge Ronald Lee Gilman on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
